What We Do
We are making a difference in America by promoting the positive and healing role of religion in public life; encouraging civic participation; facilitating community activism; and challenging religious political extremism. We work from city hall to Capitol Hill to protect religious liberty and the separation of church and state for ALL Americans.
Why We Do It
Unfortunately, religion and the United States government are becoming increasing entangled. More and more, religion is being used as a tool to influence policy and advance political strategy. And, increasingly, one strident voice is taking precedence over all others. American's shared values are losing out to partisan and sectarian interests. In turn, religion's powerful healing force is being severely compromised by political opportunists.
